Leave a comment I already own a number of premium tanks. However, for various reasons I do desire more. These are not inclinations I will be able to act on in the near future, but for when I do have some free gold here is my current shopping list. The reasons are almost entirely aspergic. Unlike many premiums it does not benefit from any special matchmaker, but I do not mind that. This is the missing one. Essentially I want, at some point, a high-tier German premium. Finally out of the trio of British premium tanks it is the one that interests me the most. Does that make me strange? M22 Locust — Tier III American Light — gold Low-tier premiums I generally find a lot of fun, but I also think this little speedster would be very good for practising scout tanking in a lower-tier setting.

It’s high rate of fire makes it very effective at suppressing enemy troops and well placed machine gun positions can halt an entire infantry attack. History The M Browning is a belt-fed medium machine gun designed by John Browning, and is chambered in the powerful. It served as the primary defensive support weapon of the US Army throughout World War II, and its use of the disintegrating M1 link belts made it easy to clean and clear, reducing the chance of jams and making it significantly quicker to clear them when they occurred.
Due to the weapon’s weight, it was frequently mounted on vehicles and operated by two-man teams. It was extremely prone to overheating, as the barrel was not as easily interchangeable as other machine guns of its era, and this led to many malfunctions. Gameplay The M is a very strong defensive weapon, combining high rate of fire with good damage, and can mow down large squads of enemies in seconds.

Optimisation of Matchmaking Rules Matchmaking MM is a very important game mechanic which has to be clearly understandable to any player. But far fewer players know about the existence of another matchmaking rule — rank limitations. This rule works like this: In reality, this rule activates very rarely, since even without it, the Battle Ratings of vehicles in most cases fall within the acceptable limitations of ranks.
But there are individual examples of vehicles whose Battle Rating does not prevent an encounter between, for example, a vehicle at the lower end of rank three with a vehicle at the top end of rank one. We strive not only to support optimal balance among all vehicles represented in War Thunder, but also to make the balancing mechanic simple and easy to understand for any player. This means that the next logical step in improving our matchmaking mechanism is additional development of a simple and understandable Battle Rating system by making an exception to the limitation rule on ranks.
How will this affect gameplay?

Leave a comment Overall Well the first thing to note about my tanking in February is that illness got in the way of a lot of it. Indeed as of writing this I am still uncomfortably ill. However my credit grind for the IS-4 has been less than successful as I have made a few side-purchases. Going forward into March I intend to make a determined effort to start amassing those credits.
One small milestone that has passed this month is that I have fought my eight thousandth battle. The end of March will also mark my second anniversary in World of Tanks, which I am looking forward to.

With M shot you’ll be alot stronger on the field as you’ll be able to penetrate relatively any medium, and most heavies. However, you are subject to get hit in the side or front many times and will need the FPE and parts to repair on the field or you’ll become burnt toast. After you’ve unlocked these modules, it’s best to work down by putting maneuverability as a priority. History of creation and combat usage Development The development of this tank can be traced to the number of tank prototypes produced in the Spring of as a replacement for the M4 Shermans then in use.
This eventually developed to the T22 and T23 designs with different transmissions, all of which were in the rear of the vehicle instead of the front like the Shermans. These designs were comparable to a T , but these were not quickly adopted over the M4 as the M4 performed fabulously in combat in Africa and Italy. Development continued with different interests in , starting around the concept to mount a 90 mm cannon to fight the heavily armoured German tanks and fortifications in Europe.
The first was the T25 series, which was an upgunned T23 with a 90 mm gun, but they also designed a bigger and more armoured design T However, the design has a weight of about 40 tons, which decreased its mobility and durability as it still uses the old Sherman engine.

A blog about combining wargaming with real life, incorporating comments about how to make the most of being a grown up and a wargamer. The aims for the rules are: Capture the period flavour of the WSS Be readily playable by a toy soldier novice Be quick and simple, with a result in 3 hours Looks easy, but I think that’s quite a difficult ask. The rules we played were in quite good shape due t the previous playtest with Phil, but I was aware bits were still missing command and control is rudimentary to say the least and I had to rely on being able to gloss over the shortfalls or just make stuff up on the spot.
Gary and I decided on the scenery between us. I had no scenario in mind, other than an encounter battle. At this point Gary confessed he hadn’t got to the bits about the fighting yet in the book, so I filled him in on the basics of early 18th century West European Warfare. Gary got the Anglo Dutch, – to the left of the picture, – and I got the French. I put my chaps out first, and then put the kettle on whilst Gary sorted out his deployments.

I wrote that I have the hunch of World of Tanks being a rigged game, where via matchmaking, tinkering with penetration and probably hit chances and damage numbers the developers guarantee that everyone remains close to the average in terms of kills and wins, so no one quits either because of “too easy”, nor “im pwned by nolifers lol”. The title is misleading because I still don’t and can’t have a real proof. What I have is something that very much correlate to my theory and has one alternative explanation only: My girlfriend and me started new accounts.
The idea is that the Marder II has mm penetration, therefore it can penetrate everything it can face if the match is unrigged and even if its penetration is halved, still can penetrate everything but T5 heavy front armor.

The mistake is that when I started pulling back, I stayed too close to the rocks on my left — as a result I a created a bigger gun depression challenge in terms of getting my gun down on the target.
